Downstairs Hall

When I started working on the hall downstairs my Miniature House I decided to locate a toilet beneath the stairs. So I shifted the door that gave access to the living room. I made a tiny room and placed it into the house. It then looked like this:

Next I decorated the toilet room and glued it in place. I painted the ceiling and put a ceiling ornament around the lamp. I made a floor of wooden sticks, painted it and made use of a brass stencil to add a decorative pattern.

After that I didn't feel satisfied..... I decided to add some ceiling lists made of cardboard.

Though I glued them well to the ceiling, some ugly cracks appeared.....

I  filled the cracks with  Amsterdam Heavy Gel Medium Mat and painted them over with some left over paint I used on the ceiling. That looked much better!

Next I made some plinths/baseboards.
One can make lovely baseboards (as well as ceiling lists)  out of cereal boxes.
The places the boxes are folded are great to use. When treated with glue and paint they are easily tot cut with a craft knife or scissors, even a small saw!

After that, I felt like adding some wall panels.
I still had a pretty piece of wallpaper in my stock; I glued it on a piece of cardboard and painted it.

With help of a mock-up I cut the pieces in the right shape and length.

Everything glued in place, this is how it looks like now:

Kitchen Furniture

Last  year I made some furniture for the kitchen of my Miniature House;
a kind of hanging cupboard or wallunit.

For the upper part of it I found an inspirational picture  in 1:1 on Pinterest.
I made a copy of it for my 1:12 kitchen by looking carefully at the photo.

The lower part I designed and built myself.

I still had a table and chairs I bought some years ago.
I painted all pieces of furniture in  a blue-grey shade.

I made the beds

Miniature House contains three bedrooms.
Lately I put "fresh sheets" on all the beds.

This post shows how the beds used to look like and how they do now.

I made this bed and mattress with help of two tutorials.
You can find them on .

and via my Pinterest Board https://www.pinterest.com/Liduina88/miniaturetutorials/

And this is how it looks right now. placed in the attic with the red cupboard.

The lovely roses you can see on the right are made by Tatiana.

Making Blinds

I decided to make some working blinds for my Miniature House.
After looking closely at real life blinds and pictures of miniature ones, I gave it a try.
Below some pictures of my work in progress and the final results.

A corner in my house for painting

I wanted a place in my Miniature House for painting

Earlier on I had made a copy
of my own painters' easel in 1:12

I wanted a side table to put on the brushes, paint in tubes and palette.
I started out with a chess piece and some wood.

Assembling....

I painted the table and made brushes,
paint in tubes and a palette

I put a frame around some   tiny paintings I made before.
